Attention RISD HS Parents: False Report Made by Unlisted Caller

Dear Raymondville ISD Community,

At about 2pm, Raymondville ISD received what was determined to be a false report.  

City of Raymondville PD received a call from a number in Quakertown, PA.  The caller stated that there was “a backpack with wires coming out of it at 601 FM 3168, room 650.”  City PD immediately shared this with Raymondville ISD PD.

Raymondville ECHS does not have a room 650.  Raymondville ISD Police searched the high school and did not find any suspicious bags.  Raymondville ISD Police called the Quakertown Police.  According to Quakertown Police, the number used to make the call is not listed in Quakertown.  

Police determined that the call was not validated and did not pose a threat to students or staff.
