COVID-19 UPDATE November 30, 2020

Dear Raymondville ISD Community,

As part of the Districts’ commitment to keep you informed, we are notifying the you that a student on our Boys' Basketball team tested positive for COVID-19.  The student was last present at practice on Wednesday, November 25, 2020. 

Raymondville ISD is working closely with the Department of State Health Services (DSHS) to respond to this case.  The District is already taking the following DSHS recommended actions:

 

1. Ask the student and any siblings at home to self-quarantine

2. Identify and notify school-related close contacts ask them to self-quarantine

3. Identify and notify school-related "low-risk contacts" and ask them to monitor for changes in their health, maintain personal hygiene, and wear masks

4. Clean and disinfect frequently touched surfaces in the areas exposed

5. Test all players between 5-7 days from the exposure date

 

Boys’ Basketball practices and games have been canceled until COVID-19 testing is completed.  The District will continue working with DSHS to determine when Boys’ Basketball practice and games will continue.
