UIL Activities & On - Campus Instruction Updates
Dear Bearkat Community,
As students complete
their third week of remote instruction, Raymondville ISD is preparing to enter
the next stage of our Back to School Plan. On behalf of the District, I want to
thank Dr. Mario Sanchez, Willacy County Health Authority, for his guidance and
support in planning for our students to return to campus safely.
UIL activities for high
school students will resume on Friday, September 11, 2020. You can find
Guidelines and UIL Requirements for Band and Athletics at the following links:
Please call Band Director
Ben Keltner or Athletic Director Frank Cantu at 956-689-8170 if you have any
questions.
Raymondville ISD will
also make on-campus learning available to all students beginning September 21,
2020. Teachers will use a blended learning model that combines face-to-face
instruction with online learning. Class sizes will be reduced, and
transitions will be limited. Students will be required to wear masks, and desks
will be separated whenever possible.
Students who choose
remote instruction may continue learning from home.
Campuses are contacting
parents to find out which option you will choose. You can also call your
child’s campus to let them know if you plan to start on-campus instruction on
September 21.
Needlepoint Bipolar Ion
Generators have been installed to eliminate viruses, bacteria, and mold in the
air of all occupied spaces. (RISD
Ion Generators), and the District will continue to follow the Texas
Education Agency and CDC guidelines for Health and Safety. The District
Back to School Plan is available at www.raymondvilleisd.org.
Thank you for your
continued support and commitment to Raymondville ISD.
Sincerely,
Stetson Roane,
Superintendent of Schools
Call me if you have any questions.
Thanks,
S. Roane
