SUPERINTENDENT UPDATE ON COVID-19
September 16, 2020
Dear Raymondville ECHS Community,
In keeping with Raymondville ISD's commitment to full
transparency, we are notifying you that an employee has reported being in close
contact with someone confirmed with COVID-19.
The close contact occurred off-campus, and the
person who has COVID-19 is not a Raymondville ISD employee. The
staff member was present at the Raymondville Early College High School campus
on September 15, 2020. The RISD employee was not experiencing any COVID-19 symptoms.
Raymondville ISD custodians continue to disinfect on a daily basis. RISD
conducted a deep cleaning in the areas occupied by the staff member. Due to
privacy requirements, we will not be releasing the name of the individual or
details that may identify them.
We are working closely with the local health department on
this matter. After careful review, we have determined that the employee did not
come into close contact with students or staff. Operations at Raymondville
Early College High School will continue as usual, and we will keep you apprised
of further updates.
In an abundance of caution, we ask that you, as always,
