RISD Nursing Program Receives Grant for $49,968

Dear Raymondville ISD Community,

I am proud to announce that the Raymondville ISD Nursing Program has been awarded a $49,968 grant from the Texas Education Agency. TEA announced the award as part of the Summer CTE competitive grant program. This funding will be used to purchase supplies and equipment for our nursing program, and it will pay the fees associated with offering classes over the summer.  RISD Dual Enrollment Nursing students in grades 9-12 will be able to continue taking classes through Coastal Bend College toward an Associate’s Degree and a Nursing Certificate. 

Raymondville ISD Nursing Students will graduate ready to enter the workforce and fill the urgent need for trained medical professionals.  For many of our students, the RISD Nursing Program is a steppingstone to other careers in the medical field.  What our students learn at Raymondville ISD will prepare them for success as nurse, physician, surgeon, or whatever path they choose.
