ROAA INCIDENT

Dear Raymondville ISD Community:

This morning a student at our alternative academy made a threat involving the use of a gun.  The employee who heard this threat took immediate action and notified the appropriate authorities and the issue has been addressed.  This message is part of my pledge to you last week to improve the communication between the District and the community.  The Board of Trustees and myself take any kind of threat to student safety very serious.  The purpose of this message is to not only inform the community of this incident but also to assure the students, parents, and staff of the District that there is no ongoing threat, the incident this morning was isolated and handled immediately.
