RAYMONDVILLE STUDENT SUCCEEDS AFTER HIGH SCHOOL

One of the best things about being an educator is the pride you feel watching former students experience success after graduation.  We should all be proud of the success of recent graduate Hipolito Coy.  During his senior year, Hipolito represented Raymondville Early College High School in Team Roping in the Texas High School Rodeo Association.  For a grueling 10-month season, he traveled to rodeos held once a month in Sinton and Uvalde, Texas.  Hipolito qualified for the state competition, held on June 9th, 2020, at the Taylor County Expo Center in Abilene, Texas.

The Texas High School Rodeo Association awarded Hipolito a scholarship.  He is furthering his education at South West Texas Jr. College in Uvalde.  Hipolito is enrolled in the Wildlife Program and is a member of the SWTJC Rodeo Team, where he competes in team roping.
Raymondville ISD congratulates Hipolito on his accomplishments and wishes him continued success in his education and team roping.
