GRADUATION CEREMONY INFORMATION FOR SENIORS

Dear Raymondville ISD Community,

The spring semester is a time of celebration for schools, with the most significant celebration being our graduation ceremony. The COVID-19 pandemic has led to questions and anxiety about this typically joyous occasion. These seniors and their families are experiencing a disruption to end of year traditions that no other class in our history has endured. They deserve to be celebrated not only for their academic achievements but for their perseverance.

The originally scheduled graduation ceremony is still more than 30 days away, and we are getting new information daily. Raymondville ISD will wait on updates from Governor Abbott and the Commissioner of Education before making any changes.

In these uncertain times, I cannot predict everything that will unfold. Still, I can assure you that I am fully committed to providing the Class of 2020 with a graduation ceremony. My preference is to celebrate these seniors and their families with the traditional graduation they deserve.

I will keep you up to date as things unfold.

Sincerely,
Stetson Roane
