MEAL PICK UP RESUMES TOMORROW AT 11 AM

Sunday, March 29, 2020
Dear Raymondville ISD Community,
In coordination with the Texas Department State Health Services (DSHS), Raymondville ISD will resume curbside meal pickup at all sites beginning Monday, March 30, 2020 at 11:00 AM.
Raymondville ISD will continue serving meals daily 11:00 AM – 12:30 PM. Children do not need to be present to pick up a meal. A parent or sibling can pick up food for all children in a household.
During these challenging times, the Raymondville ISD Board of Trustees and Superintendent are united to serve our community.  RISD will continue to provide food to our children in the safest way possible.
The District suspended food service after being notified of a confirmed COVID-19 case in an elementary school student.  The District’s closure from Thursday afternoon through Sunday followed the CDC guidelines for a “short building dismissal to clean/disinfect/contact-trace in consultation with local health officials.”
In a letter to school administration, the DSHS Regional Medical Director stated there was no continued risk of exposure from this incident. The Director advised the District to resume curbside meal pick up.
Raymondville ISD will continue to coordinate with health officials at the state and local level for the health and safety of our school community. Remote instruction and packet pickup remain suspended until April 13, 2020. Check the district website and social media for updates.
Sincerely,
Stetson Roane
