Welcome
Back Raymondville ISD students, parents, and community for the 2018-2019 school
year!
I
hope all of you had a great summer and enjoyed well-deserved time with family
and friends. Thank you for welcoming me to be a part of this great
community, and I look forward to another year of working together to continue
improving student outcomes.
Over
the past year, Raymondville ISD has made great strides in the right
direction. Teacher salaries increased from 14th to 7th
in the Region, the district received a Superior Financial rating, and we saw
the biggest academic gains in school history. We’ve added new programs in
nursing and welding, and our cafeterias will be cooking meals from scratch
including a dinner program with full meals after school. I’m proud of the
work our staff did to earn a notable “B” district accountability rating, and an
outstanding 11 campus academic distinctions.
Our
continued focus for the new school year will be on Safety, Attendance, and
Student Outcomes. I look forward to seeing you soon for an exciting
kickoff to the new year.
