Student Detained
Dear Raymondville ISD Community:
This morning, at approximately 9:55 a.m., a student at Raymondville High School made a comment that could be considered a terroristic threat. The student was removed immediately from the general population and then was taken into custody by Raymondville ISD Police Department. Under the advisement of The Willacy County Juvenile Probation Office, the student was then transported and detained at Darrell B. Hester Juvenile Detention Center in San Benito. At Raymondville ISD, the safety of students and staff is taken seriously. The purpose of this message is to assure the students, parents, and staff of the District that there is no ongoing threat. The incident this morning was isolated and handled immediately.
